Getting back on topic, probably the largest change is the decision to drop the ubuntu-serverguide package from the archive. I think this is a very good decision, and will be a benefit to the server documentation going forward. To be clear, this means the Ubuntu Server Guide will only be available in two formats: online via HTML, and PDF. Hopefully this will help with updates, and delivering the most accurate documentation possible.
A lot of bug fixes were also included in this release. As well as updates to some of the more "core" sections. For example the UEC section was synced up with the information in the wiki, and some new information about the cloud-init tools.
A new Puppet section was also added. If you've ever used puppet on a server or workstation, you know that it can get pretty complicated pretty quick. So in order to not get too bogged down with repeating the excellent puppet documentation, the section in the guide is very simple, but hopefully will spark in interest in delving deeper into puppet. If anyone has suggestions, critiques, or any other feedback it is always greatly appreciated.
Also, a very big thank you to the rest of the Ubuntu Server Team for providing feedback, help, and advise for the guide. It wouldn't be possible without your contributions :-). Having a dedicated slot during the Server Team meeting was another welcome change during the Maverick cycle.
Looking forward to Natty!
Party On,
Adam
